The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid sent a congratulatory message to State Councilor and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Peoples Republic of China on the occasion of the celebration of Centenary of founding of the Communist Party of the People’s Republic of China.
Minister’s message reads as follows:
“I take this opportunity to extend warm congratulations to you, the Government, and the friendly people of China on the occasion of the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
Since 1921, China has achieved tremendous success in economic and social progress for its people. As you mark this important occasion and move towards the future, China’s role in the global sphere will be of equal importance. From fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, to the ongoing global economic recovery, China has already demonstrated its willingness to engage closely with the global community through various important initiatives such as the distribution of the COVID-19 vaccines, to which we remain grateful for. I hope that the coming years will bring to fruition, our ongoing dialogue to further strengthen the existing friendly and close relations between Maldives and China.
